Memoo's relationship with line and color started long before the machine. Raised in Colombia, he trained as a visual artist — sketchbooks, oil paint, charcoal — before discovering that the most honest canvas was skin. The transition wasn't a pivot; it was a continuation.
Today, every commission begins the same way: a conversation where the story comes first. Memoo asks why this piece, why this moment, why this placement — and once your date is reserved, opens the sketchbook. The drawing is built and refined together in the weeks leading up to your appointment, so on session day the design is exactly yours.
Memoo currently tattoos out of a fully sterilized private space at 971 S Almaden Ave in downtown San Jose. The setup is built for long sessions: ergonomic client chairs, broadcast-grade lighting, hospital-grade autoclaving for every needle and tube.
